The Minnesota Council has established a volunteer committee to help plan and coordinate the upcoming National Convention in 2009.  The council is focusing most of their events to help plan and coordinate the convention.  The MN Council is determined to host one of the best conventions ever!  Be sure to attend in October of 2009.

The council meetings are usually held in different cities within Minnesota to accomodate traveling members.

On Saturday, July 12th, 2008 Student Member of the Minnesota Council, Michael J. Anderson was married to Holly Hagan in their hometown of Rockford, IL. Michael is a student in the College of Design at the University of Minnesota and is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Design in Architecture. Holly recently graduated from Nursing School at the University of Minnesota and will be starting her nursing career in August.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Anderson and the Best of Luck in your new life together from all of us a SARA.

Ray Blesener from the MN Council hosted the first ever Past Presidents Retreat in the woods of Northern Minnesota.

 “Tremendous Success” was the consensus of the attending Past Presidents. Mixed with charcoal grilles, bonfires, and ATV rides the group discussed numerous items affecting the Long Range Plan for the success of SARA. A memo is being prepared for the National Board Meeting in July outlining some of the recommendations of the group. One of them will be that outings like these should become a part of the SARA family each year.
